Health Canada's Drug Analysis Platform

Health Canada’s Drug Analysis Service (DAS) and Cannabis Laboratory (CL) analyze samples submitted by law enforcement agencies and public health partners across Canada to support investigations, monitor new and emerging trends, and inform public health and safety responses.

These statistics are based on illicit cannabis samples seized by law enforcement agencies and submitted to the Cannabis Laboratory (CL) and as such, samples analyzed may not be completely representative of drug seizures in Canada, including substances circulating on the market. CL data should therefore be used with caution when determining trends or drawing conclusions about the type and nature of substances circulating on the illicit market. The data below (number of identifications) represent the number of times a substance was identified in submitted samples. A single sample may contain more than one substance.

Categorization of substances is based on the Cannabis Act.
