More than 14,700 apparent opioid-related deaths occurred between January 2016 and September 2019.

Between January 2016 and September 2019, 19,490 opioid-related poisoning hospitalizations occurred.

More than 17,000 suspected opioid-related overdoses occured between January and September 2019 based on available Emergency Medical Services data from 9 provinces and territories.
