More than 13,900 apparent opioid-related deaths occurred between January 2016 and June 2019.
Between January 2016 and March 2019, 17,050 opioid-related poisoning hospitalizations occurred.
Emergency Medical Services data on suspected opioid-related overdoses is reported by 10 provinces and territories across Canada.
