Estimates for this indicator exclude the territories. Due to the major redesign of the 2015 CCHS, caution should be taken when comparing data from previous cycles of CCHS to data released for the 2015 cycle onwards.
Unless otherwise stated, the data includes women from age 15 - 54 (CIHI) or age 15 - 55 (CCHS) who gave birth during a specified time period.
Women aged 15 - 55 who gave birth in the five years preceding the survey; denominators exclude responses of “do not know”, “not stated”, and refusal to answer

Estimate Calculation Numerator: Number of women aged 15-55 years who gave birth in the last five years and reported smoking during pregnancy.
Denominator: Number of women aged 15-55 years who gave birth in the last five years.
Additional Remarks The territories are excluded from the 2017 data file. Due to the major redesign of the 2015 CCHS, caution should be taken when comparing data from previous cycles of CCHS to data released for the 2015 cycle onwards.
