Estimate Calculation Numerator: Number of ED presentations associated with child maltreatment by children aged 0 to 17 years at participating hospitals; Denominator: Total number of ED presentations made by 0-17 year-olds at participating hospitals, all injury causes
Additional Remarks Child maltreatment cases in CHIRPP are made up of intent codes 13 "child maltreatment by a parent or caregiver" and 12 "sexual assault".
